We are one of the Major Barge Operator for Maersk line moving Containers from Apapa
Port to Jetties within Lagos Port City.
Also SAPID is one of their major Off-dock Terminal Operator.
Sapid is the preferred Offdock for PIL. For both laden and Empty Containers Management.
MSC through her subsidiary Medlog Operates our TERMINAL 1 with us jointly.
Sapid Agencies Limited has grown over the past year steadily and currently having a market share of about 15% of the Offdock activities in Lagos and about 25% of the Barging activities. We hope to continue to sustain these growth year on year.
Our asset base grew from less than 10 Million in the year 2000 to about N3.5 Billion in the year 2020. Our staff strength grew from Nine persons in 2000 to over one hundred in 2020.
Sapid Agencies Limited has been contributing to the National Economy through the huge Revenue the Nigeria Customs Service collects from our activities in the Terminals.
For Example, despite the Economic downturn and the COVID-19 Pandemic the Federal Government of Nigeria Generated over N15.33 Billion as Revenue from our both Terminals.
We are a very Socially Responsible Entity and have been solely funding and supporting Our NGO to Operate a Primary Health Care Center at Nkwo Orji for Orji and Obazu Communities since the past Twelve (12) years
Also we support Orphanages and School of the Blind within Lagos.
We are a very Environmentally friendly Company. This is one of our major reasons of investing in Barging Operations.
This effort reduces the number of articulated trucks travelling long distances to the Ports and spending endless hours in traffic emitting Carbon Monoxide and Dioxide into the atmosphere. Taking the Containers on Barge closest to the Importers and Exporters not only reduced Cost of transportation but reduces heavily the emissions into the environment.
We are gradually ensuring that only a minimum of EURO 5 Standard Trucks are deployed in our Operations.
