Eastgate Inland Terminal Limited, project concessioners for the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Abia State has announced that BRJ and Associates, a construction and project management firm, based in Pasadena, California, USA, as its major partner on the project. Bill Nkemdirim, chief executive officer, Eastgate Terminal Limited, while presenting the BRJ team to the State project.

According to our source, Preparation for the construction and operation of the facility is almost completed by the Abia State Govt & Eastgate, concessionaire to the project, as the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has also been billed to meet with officials of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Federal Government’s ports economic regulator, to discuss modalities for the realisation of the project

The Federal Executive Council approved the commencement of Inland Container Depot (ICD) project at six (6) locations in the country under BOOT Agreement on 15th March, 2006 and the project was gazetted vide Federal Republic of Nigeria Official Gazette No.30 volume 94 of 21st May, 2007.
